Research

Adult Nursing covers a wide range of health issues and their nursing care, including acute, convalescent, chronic, and end-of-life care. The main areas of study are oncology nursing, rehabilitation nursing, telecare nursing, and ischemic heart disease.
Disaster nursing is conducting “research on the psychology of disaster victims,” “research on the construction of disaster nursing,” and “research on the management of evacuation centers in cooperation with the government,” based on our experience working in disaster-stricken areas. In addition to these studies, we use Virtual Reality focus on improving the disaster preparedness of local communities.
The Master's Program in Nursing at the Graduate School of Medicine launched the “Certified Nurse Specialist (CNS) Education Program in Disaster Nursing” in FY2014 and the “CNS Education Program in Cancer Nursing” in FY2015, inviting lecturers with experience and achievements in disaster nursing and cancer nursing from other specialties and medical institutions, and working with the university's faculty members. The program is designed to foster advanced practice nurses who learn and work practically and professionally.
